Puffin Wins Best of Breed

While Cava won the points on Friday and Sunday, Saturday was Puffin's day! At her first show she was awarded Best of Breed from the 6-9 month puppy class over some lovely dogs. The win gave her 3 points towards her championship.
Puffin showed quite well, given that it was her first show. The mats for the "down & back" had a strip of duct tape half way down - Puffin seemed to think this was a jump and she jumped it every time! The ringside spectators found this very amusing.
Kona, Blazingstar Brown Coneflower RN, was reserve winners female both days and Willow, Blazingstar Brown Buffalobean, won the Open Female class.
Thank-you to Julia for helping me show Puffin and holding Cava and to Pat and Janna for showing Willow. We had our hands full!

  1. oh Puffin, you're not supposed to eat your ribbon!
You put it in your very own photo album that you mommy makes for you :))
At least that is what my puppy is going to do someday :)) :))

  2. Ha ha Jolene! Neither Cava nor Puffin were very good at transferring their knowledge of holding a dumbell to holding a ribbon... we'll get there eventually, but in the meantime everyone will have to put up with photos of them looking as if they are eating their ribbons! Fortunately you can iron ribbons :-)

  3. How did I miss this? Super cute pictures of her eating her ribbon. My first thought when I saw the photo was that Jo would be horrified. LOL. I see that I was right. :)
